As the seasons are changing and summer is drawing nearer, I wanted to reach back into my archive for part one of the two part Verano Mix series featuring some of my favorite songs for the summer. This mix features a blend of Afro-Latin funk and remixes. I recorded this mix in 2006 as I was starting Roots and Branches: this is some of the music I was playing at our first block parties. Sit back relax, and enjoy the beats.
